Collection for Our Local Food Banks

Home  /  Parish News  /  Collection...

In the words of St John Paul the Great, “The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being.”

The less fortunate in our community, the homeless, the hungry, deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. One simple way to do this is by helping area food banks feed the hungry in our community. Please consider donating a non-perishable food item to our monthly food collections.

Items such as PASTA, PASTA SAUCE, RICE, TUNA, MAC & CHEESE, CANNED FRUITS & VEGETABLES, INSTANT POTATOES, SIDE DISHES, BEANS, JUICES, PEANUT BUTTER, JELLY and CEREAL may be left at St. Peter or St. Francis churches the first weekend of every month.

Our next collection will be April 11-12.

All donated food will be distributed to local agencies through Stock the Shelves. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to “Stock the Shelves.” Please remember that the food banks cannot accept expired food.

Thank you for your continued support!
